My Overlays Appear Only in One Aspect Ratio

Updated this week

By default, designs in Cropink are generated in a 1:1 (square) aspect ratio.
If your designs appear only in one size, this is expected behavior unless additional formats are configured manually.

Currently, Cropink does not automatically resize or change the aspect ratio of an existing design — especially for custom designs.

Why this happens

  • Every design in Cropink has one fixed aspect ratio.

  • If you create a design in 1:1, it will be used only as a square creative.

  • Cropink allows multiple aspect ratios, but each ratio must be created as a separate design.

How to set up multiple sizes correctly

To use different overlay sizes (e.g. Stories, Reels, Feed), you need to:

  1. Open your design in Figma.

  2. Duplicate the design and adjust it to a new aspect ratio (for example:

    • 1080×1920 (9:16)

    • 1080×1350 (4:5)

    • 1200×628 (1.91:1))

  3. Publish each version as a new design using the Cropink Figma plugin.

  4. In Cropink, assign these designs in:

    • Campaigns → Default (Image Link), or

    • Campaigns → Additional Images, depending on your setup.

Each design will then be used for its specific placement.

💡 NOTE: Cropink supports multiple aspect ratios, but automatic resizing of a single design is not available. Separate designs are required for each format.

Final tip

If you plan to run campaigns across multiple placements (Feed, Stories, Reels), it’s best to prepare all required formats upfront in Figma and manage them through Additional Images in Cropink.

✅ Once multiple designs are added and assigned, your overlays will display correctly in all supported sizes and proportions.
